What's Up?

The past few months have been some of the most challenging – and most valuable – for me in recent years. I've taken time to do some much-needed cleaning; I've also taken time to take stock and re-evaluate what I'd like to do as a career. After a bit of initial floundering, I attended a number of extremely helpful workshops put on by Alberta Learning Information Services (I highly recommended them to anyone who's between jobs) which helped me decide on and prepare for a new career in website development.

This new website is the latest of these preparations.

I learned a number of new skills in those workshops, and I also learned a few things about myself – particularly about my personality. It rekindled a dream that I thought had been lost years ago.

I still live in Calgary (the City of Eternal Flames – for whom I'm still not cheering). I used to tell people that I'd be happy living either here or in Edmonton, but it seems that I've put down some roots.

I do my best to stay physically fit by attending a weekly Boot Camp and by doing the HICT sample program made famous by "The Scientific 7-Minute Workout" article. At this point, I'm considering looking into additional circuits.

Websites I've Built

These are some of the websites that I've built for others over the years. Most of them are no longer operating or have since moved on to new websites.

One person gave me this feedback:

"You need to know that I've had plenty of positive comments regarding the quality of my website and I give the credit back to you to everyone I talk to."

Links to Humour

I started putting these pages together back in the mid-1990's for the world to enjoy. They've been updated with some new material this year.

I used to enjoy Dilbert on a daily basis, but I think that Scott Adams lost his muse a few years after he and Pacific Bell parted company and I don't find it as satirical as I used to.

I used to enjoy FoxTrot on a daily basis, too. Now I enjoy it on a weekly basis.
